MY STORY

I was born in 1990 in Azogues, Ecuador, and grew up in La Troncal.

I am María Gabriela Vélez S., a passionate and visionary architect who has made a significant impact in the fields of construction and design. From an early age, I learned the value of respect and integrity, inspired by my parents, Galo Raúl and Lía Yolanda. As the eldest sister of Ana, Galo, and Gabriel, I took on a leadership role that has guided my professional journey.

My architectural career began at the Escuela y Colegio Técnico San Gabriel in La Troncal, where I developed skills in industrial arts and design. My desire to serve the community led me to volunteer with the ambulance corps, facing emergencies with determination. For 11 years, my voice resonated in the Coro El Arca, where I channeled my passion for music into artistic and spiritual expression.

Driven by a desire to make a positive impact on society, I joined Casa para mi País, helping to build homes for those in need. I also led relief efforts after the devastating earthquake in Portoviejo, providing support to affected families.

After graduating in architecture from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil, I expanded my knowledge through courses in 3D systems, rendering, seismic resistance, sustainable facades, and digital marketing strategies applied to architecture. Throughout my career, I have created designs in 2D and 3D, plans, and walkthroughs for projects in countries such as Italy, Mexico, Panama, and Paraguay. In Ecuador, I had the privilege of designing plans for several educational institutions in La Troncal, contributing to community development.

In 2021, I founded GALIANA GROUP LLC in New York, United States, focusing on transportation, waste collection, and comprehensive design and construction services. I expanded my mission by offering unique solutions to businesses and families, generating exceptional designs.

In 2025, I founded GALIANA REMODELING GROUP in New York, focusing in design and remodeling for home and interior design.

In New York, I have specialized in metal construction, an area I approach with passion and precision. I have designed and executed metal structures, including staircases, balconies, and railing systems, ensuring modern aesthetics alongside maximum safety and durability. My projects are distinguished by their functionality and attention to detail, transforming each structure into an expression of quality and design that enriches the lives of those who use them.

I have implemented innovative designs in states such as New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, ensuring that each project not only meets but exceeds expectations. Today, GALIANA REMODELING GROUP stands as a testament to my tireless dedication, unparalleled quality, and passion for design.

My vision remains focused on growth and expansion, with the ambition to establish branches throughout the United States and beyond.
